| Wear clothing and shoes appropriate for the environment you are in

| Have a mobile phone at all times and a two-way radio when necessary

| Have a reliable light source- flashlight, headlamp, etc.

| Have plenty of fresh batteries

| First aid kits or first aid supplies are highly recommended

| Do not go into unsafe areas or structures

| Carry and drink plenty of fluids, especially water
|
| Never go into an area or situation that you feel is unsafe or you are uncomfortable with

| Make group leaders aware of medical conditions you have or medications that you take
|
| Make group leaders aware of any injury or illness immediately
|
| Make sure that group leaders have your emergency contact information
|
| NEVER ask/allow anything from the other side to use your body or personal energy
